A group of UK government contractors from London were kidnapped last Friday in Afghanistan by Taliban-affiliated militants. The Civil engineers who routinely travel to conflict zones to consult on logistical contracts, were abducted in Khost, a province near the Pakistan border.
It’s unclear how they were captured, but UK officials believe the Haqqani network, a group aligned with the Taliban, is responsible for the kidnappings.

No group has officially claimed responsibility for capturing the group. Ml6 are actively trying to locate them. It is believed they are being kept in a residential
property in Kabul. The Taliban have demanded a ransom of US100m. The ransom deadline expires in 90mins which will result in the live broadcast execution of the group. The Taliban are on their way back.
